 Dr. Farell

As the Executive Director of the tgin Foundation, I lead with integrity, empathy, and a deep commitment to service. My work is rooted in encouraging, inspiring, and empowering others through strategic collaboration, transformative thinking, and a willingness to challenge the status quo. By nurturing genuine connections, honoring diverse perspectives, and embracing challenges as catalysts for growth, I aim to help build a more just, compassionate, and sustainable world.

the BEGINNING.

BEFORE STEPPING INTO THE WORLD OF BEAUTY AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP.

Dr. Farrell built her career at the intersection of education, health, and equity. She has led teams in both the education and healthcare sectors, guiding large-scale restructuring efforts for underperforming medical clinics across Houston and Chicago. Her approach—rooted in data, compassion, and deep respect for the communities she serves—consistently delivered meaningful and measurable improvement in complex environments.

A lifelong learner and proud scholar, Dr. Farrell earned her Ph.D. in Education Evaluation and Research from Wayne State University, an M.A. in Mathematics Education from the University of Detroit Mercy, and an advanced degree in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University. She also holds a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor—a foundation that fuels her gift for storytelling, connection, and mission-centered communication.

In October 2021, Dr. Farrell stepped into the role of COO at tgin, honoring the legacy of her sister, Chris-Tia, the beloved founder and visionary behind the brand. In her leadership, she balances reverence for tgin’s roots with a bold vision for its future. Today, tgin products are sold in more than 10,000 retail locations—including Ulta Beauty, Target, Sally Beauty, Walmart, Whole Foods, and CVS—and are supported by a thriving online community.

But for Dr. Farrell, tgin has always been more than a haircare brand. It is a movement rooted in self-love, empowerment, and authenticity. The company’s mission—to help women embrace who they are and who they are becoming—reflects the thread that connects every chapter of her career: a commitment to coaching, uplifting, and expanding what women believe is possible for themselves.

That same mission guides her work as Executive Director of the tgin Foundation, where she leads efforts to support uninsured and underinsured women undergoing breast cancer treatment, address disparities in breast health care, and champion early detection for women under 40. Her leadership in this space is both professional and deeply personal, honoring her sister’s legacy and extending her impact to women nationwide.

Pioneering, strategic, and purpose-driven, Dr. Farrell continues to build spaces where women feel seen, supported, and empowered to thrive—whether in business, in community, or in their own personal journeys.
